Jeffrey attended Temple University in Philadelphia where he worked as a Life Coach and Insturctor at Temple University at The Center for Social Policy and Community Development. Jeffrey moved back to Chicago in the late 90's, where he worked as a teacher with the Chicago Public Schools. Concurrent with his service at CPS and lasting until 2005, Jeffrey worked as a senior counselor for Jamal Place, a facility on Chicago’s West Side for troubled youth. While at Jamal Place, Jeffrey worked with youth, coordinated recreational activities, devised and implemented the organization’s mission statement and core values, and trained youth in the areas of job readiness training, goal setting and time management.

From 2003 until he started Rank Top 5 in 2008, Jeffrey worked as the Director of Operations for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, giving him many of the experience and skills that he can bring to your organization as part of RT5.

successfully moved the branch from operating at a deficit to exceeding its budget within three years
led a $300,000 capital project, which included renovations of the fitness facility, gymnasium, and building of new locker rooms
led an annual support team that increased member donations by 75 percent
implemented a plan to grow day camp revenue for the entire metro association, as well as increasing local revenue from the program by 50 percent
developed community collaborations with local community organizations
provided leadership for 5 full-time and 90 part-time staff at two branches
developed and managed a $2.5 million budget
prepared and monitored expense control mandates for the entire staff
conducted strategic planning, including analyzing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
developed annual plans for improvement and recommended areas needing emergency attention
implemented staff development plans at all levels
creating an organization that participated in the adopt-a-school program for Philadelphia Public Schools
